Baileys 4.1.1. is a premium grade, phosphate free , turf fertiliser formulated to produce excellent colour and growth all year round. It is ideal for use on sports ovals, passive reserves, parks and domestic/home lawns.
4.1.1. contains two sources of nitrogen: ammonium nitrate and sulphate of ammonia. The nitrate form of nitrogen is more readily converted in colder months and the ammonia form is slowly converted, resulting in a slower release and longer life.
Nitrogen and potassium are vital for plant health and vigour. Nitrogen aids chlorophyll production in photosynthesis and high nitrogen levels in 4.1.1. counter act issues with volatilisation and leaching.
Potassium promotes strong cell membranes, improving tolerance to plant stresses such as disease and temperature extremes. It also encourages healthy root development.
Calcium is vital for turf health and strengthens cell walls. Turf which is deficient in calcium will display reduced root growth and yellow chlorotic leaves which do not respond well to iron and nitrogen fertilisers.
