To our loyal customers and neighbours, we share the news that after 42 years we have made the decision to close Scarboro Hardware.

This has not been an easy decision, but we believe it’s time for us to take this step and move on to new ventures.It’s been an incredible journey, and we can’t express enough how grateful we are for your loyalty and support over the years.

You’ve been part of our family, and your trust has meant the world to us. It’s because of customers like you that we’ve been able to build and grow our business. We’ve loved providing you with exceptional service, and it will certainly be hard to say goodbye.We are truly thankful for the community we’ve built and the lasting relationships we’ve formed. The memories and moments we’ve shared with you—and, of course, all of our four-legged friends—will always hold a special place in our hearts.

With our lease coming to an end, along with both properties being for sale and ongoing council and car park issues, we’ve found ourselves facing a perfect storm of uncertainty. Rather than continue navigating these challenges, we’ve made the decision to move forward.We truly appreciate that it may be sad for many, as it is for us, but the future simply doesn’t feel as clear as we’d hoped, and we’ve made the choice to embrace new opportunities.Rest assured, we will continue to operate as usual until the stock has all gone, offering some great bargains in our upcoming sale.
